Wabi, the personal AI startup founded by Replika creator Eugenia Kuyda, has raised $55 million at a $1.25 billion valuation. IVP led the round, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Forerunner and the Amazon Alexa Fund. Individual backers include Tobi Lütke, Marc Benioff, Marissa Mayer and Dick Costolo.

The company is positioning Wabi as an operating system for everyday life rather than another one-person chatbot. Its product brings an AI agent into shared spaces where couples, families and friends can coordinate plans, divide responsibilities and keep context together. Wabi can also generate persistent mini-apps for tasks such as meal planning, restaurant lists, fitness challenges, trips and trivia games.

Kuyda previously built Replika around one-to-one AI companionship. Wabi’s newer bet is that personal AI will become collaborative: the assistant should understand a group’s preferences and help people act together. The product is available on iOS, Android and Mac, with Windows planned.

The financing creates another consumer AI unicorn before the company has disclosed user or revenue figures. It signals strong investor demand for assistants that move beyond a blank chat box into ongoing coordination and lightweight software creation. Wabi says the new capital will fund product development and expansion, but has not provided financial performance metrics.
