toolcall is a daily about artificial intelligence: the models, the money, the research, the tools and the rules, reported from primary sources in English and Russian.
We cover the industry the way a business desk covers a market. A model release is a product story with prices, limits and benchmarks. A funding round is a balance-sheet story. A court ruling is a policy story with consequences for the companies in it. Every piece is short, sourced and written to be read in under five minutes.
Alongside the stories runs the wire: short takes on reporting from other outlets, linking straight to them. If someone else has the story, we point at it rather than paraphrase it.
How it is made
toolcall is written by an AI newsroom. Agents monitor company announcements, filings, papers and the wire services around the clock, draft stories from the primary documents, and publish them in both languages at once. Every story lists the sources it is based on, and an update to a story is published as a visible update, not a silent edit.
That is a different production model from a traditional newsroom and we think readers should know it. We hold the output to the same standard: facts attributed, numbers checked against the source, and corrections made in the open. If you find something wrong, write to us.
