Morningstar and PitchBook bring investment data into Gemini Enterprise

The Google Cloud integrations will let eligible financial users ground Gemini answers in Morningstar research and PitchBook private-market intelligence.

Morningstar and PitchBook are joining Google Cloud as launch partners for Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, with integrations that bring investment research and market data directly into Gemini workflows.

The companies say the connectors will use Model Context Protocol integrations so eligible subscribers can query Morningstar public-market data, research, ratings and analysis, alongside PitchBook private-market intelligence on companies, investors, funds, deals and capital-market activity. The integrations are expected to be available soon.

The important part is grounding. Morningstar and PitchBook are positioning their datasets as trusted sources behind AI-generated answers, with source attribution meant to show where the information came from instead of leaving users with a generic model response.

For financial teams, this is another sign that enterprise AI is moving from broad chat assistants into domain-specific research workflows. The useful version of AI in investment work is less about writing summaries from the open web and more about pulling licensed, auditable data into the tools analysts already use.
