Anthropic reportedly supplied 34.5% of SpaceX’s quarterly revenue

SpaceX’s filing confirms that an unnamed AI-compute customer became its largest client; Bloomberg identifies that customer as Anthropic.

Anthropic was SpaceX’s largest single customer, accounting for 34.5% of the company’s quarterly revenue, according to Bloomberg, which cited a person familiar with the arrangement. SpaceX’s regulatory filing confirms the percentage but calls the client only “Customer B.” Neither company has publicly confirmed the identity.

SpaceX reported $14.575 billion in revenue for the quarter, putting Customer B’s contribution at roughly $5.0 billion. The same customer represented 24.2% of revenue for the first nine months of the year and had contributed less than 10% in the comparable periods a year earlier.

The filing says Customer B’s revenue sits inside SpaceX’s Super Intelligence segment. That business includes Grok, Cursor and X subscriptions, API access and cloud services. SpaceX began selling reserved compute capacity for fixed monthly fees during the year; its typical cloud contracts run for three years and can be terminated by either party with 90 days’ notice.

The scale matters because SpaceX is no longer only a launch and connectivity company. AI infrastructure produced more than half of quarterly revenue, and a direct rival to SpaceX’s own Grok business reportedly became the company’s biggest buyer. The concentration also creates risk: one unconfirmed customer now accounts for about a third of the group’s sales.
