Grok for Excel: Simplifying Data Interaction

The Grok add-in for Microsoft Excel allows users to interact with their data using plain English. By installing Grok, users can ask questions about their data, write formulas from descriptions, and run scenarios without leaving the workbook. When a user selects a range of cells and asks Grok what changed or what stands out, the add-in provides answers referencing the relevant cells. It can also insert charts directly beside the data. Grok handles formula syntax automatically, enabling users to describe desired outcomes such as averages or sorts, which are then applied as normal edits in the formula bar. This functionality supports tasks like testing downside cases, rerunning forecasts, or closing month-end processes without manual sheet rebuilding. Additionally, Grok can access context from recent emails or files stored in SharePoint or Google Drive through connectors.
