Google Cloud doubles revenue as Gemini passes 1 billion users
Alphabet says cloud sales grew 103% and its first-party model APIs now process nearly 32 billion tokens a minute.

Alphabet says its AI investments are now showing up across search, cloud and consumer usage. Quarterly revenue reached about $128 billion, up 25% year over year, putting the company at a half-trillion-dollar annual run rate.
Google Cloud was the standout: revenue rose 103% from a year earlier. Alphabet also said its first-party model APIs, including Gemini, now process nearly 32 billion tokens per minute, 40% more than in the previous quarter. The Gemini app has passed 1 billion monthly active users.
Alphabet kept its full-year capital-spending forecast at $195 billion to $205 billion. CFO Anat Ashkenazi said spending will increase significantly again in the following year, underscoring that the company is still expanding AI capacity despite the scale of its current buildout.
The results are an unusually clear link between demand for AI infrastructure and cloud revenue. They also raise the bar for Alphabet’s heavy capital spending: investors can now compare the cost of expanding compute capacity with fast-growing usage and sales.
Search is contributing too. Google said overall query growth, including commercial searches, reached its fastest pace in five years. The company’s figures come from its earnings highlights, the earnings call and CEO Sundar Pichai’s official results post.
