Automations in Grok
Run tasks automatically on a schedule or email trigger
Grok introduces Automations, allowing users to define a task once and have it run automatically either on a set schedule or triggered by incoming emails. Users describe the job in natural language, attach any necessary files, and select connectors and skills to tailor the automation. Once saved, the automation runs fresh each time with current data. Scheduled runs can be set for various intervals such as daily, weekly, or monthly at a chosen time in the user’s timezone. Email triggers monitor the inbox and activate the automation when an email matches specified filters like sender or subject. Each automation run opens a real conversation where Grok performs the task and saves the results in its run history. Users can review past runs or continue conversations from where they left off. Notifications can be sent via email, app, both, or disabled for manual checking. Automations can be created from chat commands or templates, and can be paused, resumed, edited, or deleted anytime. Scheduled automations are available to all users, while email-triggered automations require SuperGrok access.
