Anthropic discloses 895 billion dollars in AI infrastructure commitments

The amended IPO filing puts about half of the obligations before the end of the decade and shows how aggressively the Claude maker is locking in compute.

Anthropic has disclosed about 895.4 billion dollars in purchase commitments and lease obligations, substantially all tied to compute and infrastructure, in an amended IPO prospectus. Roughly 447.5 billion dollars is expected to be incurred before the end of the decade, with about 69.8 billion dollars due over the next 12 months.

The filing shows how far frontier AI companies are going to secure chips, cloud capacity and data centers before demand is fully known. Named minimum commitments include about 161.2 billion dollars in equipment leases involving Broadcom and financing partners, at least 121.3 billion dollars with Google, at least 110 billion dollars with Amazon and at least 44.9 billion dollars with Microsoft. Separate arrangements could add another 150 billion to 175 billion dollars, depending on capacity, delivery and financing conditions.

Not every figure is a guaranteed cash payment. Around 213.8 billion dollars is connected to arrangements with termination rights or conditions that must be met before commencement, and some additional estimates sit outside the main contractual-obligations table.

The scale still changes how investors should read Anthropic’s growth. Its revenue is largely usage-based, while many infrastructure contracts carry minimum-purchase or take-or-pay terms. That creates a long-term bet: Anthropic must turn reserved capacity into enough Claude demand to cover obligations stretching well into the next decade.
