Google has made Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available, extending native AI video generation and editing to clips as long as 15 seconds. Users can choose any duration from three to 15 seconds, up from a 10-second ceiling in the previous version.

The company also cut the price by 30% to $0.07 per second for 720p video. Creators can draft at 360p or 720p, refine the same clip through follow-up prompts, and upscale selected results to 1080p or 4K. Conversational edits can replace a background or subject, change lighting and weather, or switch aspect ratios without restarting from scratch.

Google says the update improves consistency for characters, products and typography across camera moves, along with multi-speaker dialogue, lip-sync and continuous shots. Outputs carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark.

The model is available through the Gemini API and Google Cloud, with rollout across Flow, Google Vids, Google Ads and the Gemini app for Google AI Ultra subscribers. The practical change is a lower-cost production workflow for ads, explainers and social video, with longer clips and fewer full regenerations.
