Cognition cuts Devin’s automated PR review cost by up to 5×
Typical reviews now cost 25–75 cents, finish in a median 94 seconds and can rerun incrementally on every push.

Cognition has released Devin Review 2.0, cutting the cost of automated pull-request review by 82% and reducing median latency from 139 seconds to 94 seconds.
The company says a typical review now costs $0.25 to $0.75, and about 80% of pull requests remain below one dollar even when later pushes are included. The new version reviews only the code changed since the previous run, so teams can trigger it on every push without repeatedly scanning the full pull request. Per-PR spending limits are available.
Devin Review can run automatically when a pull request is ready and filter jobs by branch, label or file path. Findings can flow into Devin, which attempts a fix, dismisses the issue or escalates it to a developer. A new Ultra effort level performs a deeper review at higher cost, while Custom Reviewers in beta let teams define checks for security, database migrations, SQL performance or accessibility.
The performance and quality figures are vendor-reported. Cognition says bugs found per pull request rose from 1.22 to 1.32 despite the cost reduction. The practical shift is that agent-based review is becoming cheap enough to behave more like continuous integration than an occasional specialist tool.
