Roblox says AI tools now help build more than 80% of its top games
Two nearly AI-made titles reached the platform’s top 20, while the prompt-to-game tool Build has already produced more than 70,000 published games.

Roblox says generative AI has moved from experiment to mainstream production across its platform. In its latest shareholder letter, the company reported that more than 80% of the top 100 games by hours engaged used AI tools to accelerate creation during the previous month.
The company also named Break and Steal an Egg and Huss Valley as games created almost entirely with AI. Both reached Roblox’s top 20 by concurrent players. Roblox did not claim that every element of those games was generated, and its broader 80% figure includes any use of AI tools that accelerated development.
Roblox’s prompt-to-game product Build is also showing substantial early adoption. More than 500,000 people have used the alpha in New Zealand, Singapore, Serbia and Thailand, publishing over 70,000 games. Time spent with Build, Studio Assistant and external AI connected through MCP tripled among top creators, while daily use of Roblox’s MCP server grew nearly fivefold.
The numbers matter because Roblox has 138 million daily active users and a built-in path from creation to distribution. AI-generated games are no longer only prototypes: some are already competing for large audiences. Roblox now plans broader distribution for Build and is developing a Universal Player initiative intended to use AI to import games made for consoles, PCs and mobile devices.
