OpenAI pauses ChatGPT Pro sign-ups as Astra strains capacity

OpenAI has temporarily stopped new sign-ups and upgrades for the $200 ChatGPT Pro plan. Existing Pro users are unaffected, and the company says other paid plans, Business, Enterprise and API access remain open while it adds capacity.
