OpenAI rolls out GPT-6 with interactive answers in ChatGPT

The new default ChatGPT model can stream text, visuals, controls, charts and small tools into the conversation, with Free access following paid tiers.

OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 in ChatGPT, pairing the new model with Intelligent UI, a capability that lets ChatGPT answer with text, visuals and interactive elements instead of only plain conversation.

The change means ChatGPT can choose a format that fits the request: a side-by-side comparison, an interactive explanation, a map-like plan, a chart, a form or a small task-specific tool such as a calculator or bill splitter. OpenAI says the interface is generated through native streamable components, so parts of the answer can appear while the model is still composing the response.

OpenAI is also changing the response flow for harder tasks. GPT-6 can begin answering while it continues to think, rather than waiting until all reasoning is complete. The company says GPT-6 Instant starts web-search answers sooner than GPT-5.6 Instant on average, and that the model is better at deciding when search is needed.

The rollout starts in the Chat tab for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users, then expands to Free and Go tiers. Paid ChatGPT tiers use GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go use GPT-6 Luna. OpenAI says this update does not change the models powering Work and Codex.
