NVIDIA backs Germany’s industrial AI push and four startups
The chipmaker signed a government declaration on physical AI and added investments in robotics, health software, generative audio and satellites.

Germany’s federal government and NVIDIA have signed a joint declaration to expand cooperation on industrial and physical AI. The initiative is intended to combine German manufacturing and engineering expertise with advanced AI models and widen adoption among the country’s Mittelstand companies.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang also announced planned investments in four German startups: Agile Robots, which builds robots for manufacturing, logistics and healthcare; Avelios Medical, an AI-native hospital software company; Mirelo, which generates sound effects, speech and music for video; and satellite maker Reflex Aerospace. NVIDIA did not disclose the size or structure of the individual investments.
The company says the deals are part of a nearly 10 billion dollar commitment to support companies, universities and research institutions across Europe. That figure is broader than Germany and should not be read as a new 10 billion dollar investment solely in the country.
The partnership also sits alongside Siemens and NVIDIA’s work on autonomous factories. Siemens says virtual production ramp-up can reduce engineering effort by as much as 85%, while agent-based production planning can cut costs by up to 20%. Those figures come from the companies’ own deployments and have not been independently verified.
